Studio Policies

Retainer and Payment. A retainer (applied toward the session fee) is required prior to receiving a reservation and is non-refundable. Upon the discretion of the studio, the retainer may be transferable. Proper notice allowing the studio to fill the reservation is required prior to transfer. Any retainer paid prior to cancellation can be transferred to print credit at 50% value.
The reservation retainer covers time and talent of the photographer only. Any additional product or service will incur an additional charge. The studio’s minimum investment requirement for product is $995.00 including retainer. Orders are not complete until paid.
Ordering. In order to schedule a viewing with the studio, client must be placing a print order meeting the minimum investment requirement equal to $995. Timeliness of turnaround time for viewing appointments will be directly affected by client’s availability to schedule. Product turnaround will differ depending on product vendor location and season. Client recognizes that printing vendors outside the studio are third-party and are not associated under the same turnaround periods as other vendors or the studio itself. Rush orders are available at an additional charge upon availability. Completion and payment for orders are due upon viewing date. All product orders are non refundable. Orders can not be canceled due to the custom nature of the products. Under no circumstances will unedited photos be relinquished to the client by request or otherwise.
Digital collections. The studio selects images for each digital collection. The client is only the selector of images in a print order. This selection is based on best quality, composure and representation of the client. Upon sale of digital collections, client will be provided with a list of printing vendors. KCM Studios recommends printing at a recommended professional grade lab ONLY. The studio is not responsible for printing quality errors using vendors outside KCM Studios. Printing permissions will not be granted for consumer grade vendors. Printing is recommended at MPix.com, Minted.comNationsPhotoLab.com & BayPhoto.com.
Collective. A Collective Plan consists of (2) sessions scheduled at once, requiring a retainer of $600.00 to be paid upon reservation.  Canceling one or both sessions will revert to the regular pricing of sessions & collections available. Any retainer paid prior to cancellation can be converted to print credit at 50% value.

Cancellation and rescheduling. In the event of an illness or emergency, client is responsible to contact as soon as possible. KCM Studios solely reserves the right to reschedule due to inclement weather. Any cancellation or request to change or reschedule session within 24 hours will be decided on a case-by-case basis by the studio. No-call, no-shows will result in termination of future business. No transfer of any session retainer or fees paid will be granted. Re-shooting a session will result in an additional session fee if a “re-shoot” is made necessary by any means other than the studio.
Cameras. No cameras or camcorders are permitted during session. Camera phone photos may be taken provided it is a pull-back shot of subject, photographer and studio.
Returned checks. A client who bounces a check or files a credit dispute will owe all balances with an additional $25 fee as well as the return fees from all financial institutions.
Prints permission. KCM Studios does reserve all rights to images taken. Rights remain with the studio on all images. The studio relinquishes permission to print purchased photos taken by the studio.
Delivery. You will be emailed when your package is ready for shipment/delivery/pickup. Client is responsible to provide a current street address & notify upon change. Package replacement due to incorrect address will be the responsibility of the client. Delivery failure due to incorrect address or client not present will result in pickup at the studio.
Social media. When using photos from the KCM Studios Facebook page, please do not crop out the watermark logo. It is there to protect the art as well as your baby photo.
Product care. Client is responsible to handle all product with care. Any damage to a product that has been received is the responsibility of the client.
